I’ve studied some classical piano in collage. I’ve studied jazz, arranging and composition for the university ensemble that I played piano in, and arranged and composed songs that we performed. I’ve sang in a local jazz club for 2 years in their jazz choir and also at their weekly open mic. I sang at open mic at a blues bar. I had my own blues rock band. For the last 3.5 years I’ve been working on undoing bad vocal habits and building and refining my voice and finding a style that works best for my voice. I have come a long way in the last 3.5 years working with voice coach Jeremy Bruce and have attained a gentle, smooth, relaxed chilled sound. I found an artist and her songs that work best for my voice and her name is SADE ADU.
