Carol Grohs was Principal Violist of the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra for eleven years and a member of the Syracuse Symphony for ten years. She was a sought after chamber musician in the upstate New York area, performing frequently with the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra’s distinguished chamber music series and as a regular with the Cornell Contemporary Chamber Players.

Carol has taught violin and viola at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, the Ithaca Waldorf School and Ithaca Talent Education. She also ran a popular private studio in Ithaca, New York for ten years. As a clinician, she has taught at Smith College (Massachusetts), Ithaca College and the Cleveland Institute of Music. She currently teaches in her private studio in Cornville, Arizona.
